With heavy winds last week followed by Irma through the weekend there are a limited number of fishing reports. The creeks remain stocked full of shrimp, finger mullet, and good size mud minnows. Live bait presented under a float rig or bumped along the bottom are producing good results for flounder, trout, and bass. The Spanish are still active in the inlets as well as along the beaches. The mullet run has begun in the surf bringing in the large red fish and the Tarpon.
Offshore the Dolphin are spotty and there are a few wahoo hanging out around the ledge. There have been some good reports of sailfish as well. Those dropping to the bottom are reporting the usual suspects from 60 feet out.
