Fishing Report from CharlestonFishing.com
We wrapped up February with some very mild weather and March has certainly started off the same. Water temps are holding on the low 60s, significantly warmer than I can ever remember for early March. Unless there is an abrupt change in weather over the next few weeks this will be the earliest year that I can ever remember for spring fishing. The reds are active on the flats hitting scented soft plastics and cut or live bait. Jerk baits and slow sinking plugs are producing reds and trout around structure. The Sheapshead bite remains good around rocks and other structure in the harbor and at the jetties.
Offshore the winds have been up some making it tough to pick good weather windows. Those pinpointing the good days are doing well with the Wahoo bite and those dropping over structure is producing good reports of the usual bottom suspects.
